A Sacrifice of Praise

I like it when I have the time to post on this blog but I often don't have the time. I know you cannot imagine that as a mother of 5. We are having a great summer so far. We had our holidays in Red Deer for Canada's Gospel Music Celebration. It was a wonderful time. We have been attending since 1999 & I would have to say that this was the best year so far. You could feel the presence of the Lord in that place. Groups that were there this year were not there to entertain but to minister and it truly was a time of blessing. What blesses me is that our kids enjoy it so much and that is the reason we went. It wasn't easy being there with the twins. They were afraid of the hotel, the elevator and the playpen. We made it through and we were glad we went. It was a sacrifice of praise.

I like the fact that our holidays each year are a time of blessing & encouragement. Now we are in the middle of camp meeting which is a time of spiritual renewal for us all and the kids love to go. They are asking to go, especially Micah. He does not want to miss any services. I thank God for the desire He has placed on his heart.

It has not been easy going to services with the twins this year but again it is a sacrifice of praise and we feel that it is important for our children to attend. What happens if we do not make church or such events important to the children when they are young? They will grow up thinking that they are not important and that it doesn't matter if they go or not. It is already happening to my generation of people who think that church is not that important. They put all things before God.

We are receiving powerful messages this week from Rev. Junior Sorzano (www.londonnaz.ca) I will share some of the tidbits from those messages in future posts.
